Why is it that the media is only concerned that the men will be locked up for 8 months without a working key system? We women have 72 cells (144 women) on Santa Cruz that have to be individually keyed out because there are no spare parts to fix the locks. This has been happening for over a year. Women coming from Lumley unit claims the situation there is worse.
Just imagine if there were a fire (and that happens here.) How many ladies would die a horrible death before the cells could be opened?
