I need to give you a little background on Perryville so this will be more understandable. This prison was built in the early
Explaining the Shower Picture
This is an accurate sketch of a real shower in “B” yard, Santa Cruz unit. Do you see the loose wires hanging in the lower door jamb? I was told they were “live” because this shower light is still on. I won’t test this theory! I’ve tried to portray all the standing water in front of those wires. All the shower units have standing water because the drains are all plugged.
Standing water = black mold we see everywhere
When inmates complained about the condition of this shower, they just took off the door and left it open. In the shower next to this one (not pictured) is the same filth.
The regulators (hot and cold) will not engage so moving the handle from Hot to Cold does nothing. The temperature the DOC sets is what you get. In the winter the water is cold and in the summer, it’s hot. The water pressure would increase dramatically if they would soak the shower heads in Lime-aWay to remove 50 years of accumulated minerals.

No-Care Naphcare sued for $26.75 Million!
This was the verdict in Washington State, for the death of Cindy Hill after being denied care for a ruptured a intestine. Naphcare was accused of “subjecting inmates to risk of serious harm” and “putting profits over the medical wellbeing of inmates.”
The complaint declared Hill’s condition was treatable and her death preventable. Ms. Hill was found in her cell in a fetal position on the floor screaming in pain. Unable to stand or walk she was dragged across the floor on a blanket to see Naphcare’s RN. The nurse gave her no treatment. Later that day Hill was found dead in a pool of blood and vomit.
What will Naphcare nurses do to YOUR loved one at Perryville? It might be wise to call/write Governor Hobbs to get this vicious vendor out of Arizona prisons.

New Data from World Prison Brief
This organization counted 2,068,800 US citizens incarcerated. That is an astounding 25% of the world’s total prison population. Keep in mind we comprise only 4.17% of the world’s total population in 2023, giving America the highest per capita rate of incarceration.
The sheer size of the prison business has spawned companies that gain huge profits while failing to provide adequate staff and scrimping on services. Prisoners are denied preventative medical care, suffer annual canteen price increases, and food with no fresh fruits or vegetables… EVER!
Private companies in the prison industry are regular political campaign contributors. Politicians, in turn, vote for laws that keep the prison profitable, either by making more arrests or lengthening sentences to keep prisoners from getting out.

McDonald’s Happy Meal Has 50% More “Nuggets”
The profiteering Trinity gives women an average of 4 chicken nuggets in a bag, while McDonald’s CHILDREN’S meal has 6. The women receive food portions not deemed adequate for a child. Half-sized food portions are the norm, and mechanically separated chicken (bone, beaks, legs, gristle no extra charge) are the main staple.
