Ms. Q, formally a crew chief, has not had any help from the Carlos staff to find the tablet THEY lost. On June 15th Ms. Q went to the hospital with a broken femur. Officers Barreras and Boatwright rolled her property up.
After getting her titanium rod implanted, she went to IPC until June 28th. Officer Cummings takes her from IPC (Lumley) back to Carlos, and his radio says “Don’t forget her property file.” But as Ms. Q notes….he said “I’ll get it later.”
The next day when Property Officer Pearch 909’s her, she can’t find Q’s file, “You have no property whatsoever, and no paperwork.” Ms. Q answers “I’ve been here 13 years, you bet I have property.”
They send her home with nothing, telling her to “Find 13 years of receipts.” The next day Q goes back to Property to find ANOTHER officer in charge, who tells her, “We found your file here’s your stuff” and hands her a bag.
They try to give her a TV which she’s never had, ditto for the peanut radio and headphones. Q tries to tell him that and was told to “Go away, we’re busy.”
From that day to the present, she has talked to various officers, her COIII, and grieved both Lumley and Carlos properties, all to no avail. She has to use someone else’s tablet to put in an HNR as Carlos medical has no more paper ones.
She’s at the mercy of a system that doesn’t give a damn.
