Chucky Cheese Ryan, who made life miserable for inmates for 15 years, got off with a slap on the wrists. In an incredible miscarriage of justice, Chucky served no jail time for shooting a gun at police during the 2022 standoff at his home in Tempe.
There are girls here in Perryville serving 15-30 years for a similar crime. Public defenders said there was a massive disparity between the way police treated their clients in the same situation.
The grand jury indicted Ryan in 2022 on two felony charges—disorderly conduct involving a weapon, and unlawful discharge of a weapon. Ryan’s wife told police that her husband had drank “half of a large bottle of tequila” that night.
When other citizens are riddled with holes by police for even holding a gun, Chucky Cheese was “shot” with a bean bag by Tempe police! Then Ryan was coddled at the hospital and released back home. I
n our opinion, Chucky was a despicable Director responsible for horrible health conditions, an execution that lasted 2 hours, and broken locks on cell doors documented by TV news on tape.
