Boy, have we got letters on this dude….and not just from inmates…his staff hate him too.

Bendel is the only DW continuing the draconian ‘escorting’ of inmates everywhere they go. Santa Cruz and Santa Maria, the other medium custody units, have discontinued the practice. And for good reason. The temps are near 120 every day, with the average wait time of up to 2 hours to get an officer to escort them to medical, property, store, meals, and other business. People are falling out from heatstroke and dizziness. To add to the insult, some guards require that the women line up in military-style lines.

We got a call from a mother that reiterated her daughter’s day at Lumley. “She went up to shop at 9:30 with 30 other women, but only half got to shop before 10:30. They were supposed to come right up after count. It’s 115 in the shade while they wait and wait for an escort. Meanwhile, 12 women were called to medical, and the rest of her yard lined up for chow. No one comes. The one and only guard there is trying to raise someone on his radio. The gals ask him where everyone is and he said, ‘They all went home.’!!! Ice call was missed again because there was no available guard.”

With staffing at an all time low, WHY would Bendel enforce this nonsense???!!! Get rid of him, he’s another failure.

Can these clowns do anything right? This April the DOC said they were ready to resume executions, and spent $1.5 million for the drugs to carry them out.

Authorities now admit they were wrong about how long these lethal cocktails would last. Arizona’s Attorney Generals Office said the drug only has a 45-day shelf life, not the 90-day shelf life they expected. So rather than admit they were wrong and wasted millions of taxpayer dollars, they want to speed up the executions!

This means they want to shorten the appeal and brief motions the lawyers can file before the execution date. So, they’re saying, ‘Oh, let’s kill them earlier so we can save face.’. Disgusting.

Lawyers for death row inmates found documents showing the DOC purchased the wrong kind of gas chamber chemicals. They bought potassium cyanide instead of sodium cyanide. Plans to refurbish the gas chamber generated national attention after the Guardian newspaper reported Arizona was planning to kill inmates ‘using the same lethal gas that was deployed in Auschwitz.’. Zyklon B, as the Nazis called it, is hydrogen cyanide.

What about the lethal injection you ask? State officials have refused to disclose the source of materials used in lethal injections. Arizona suspended executions in 2014 after an inmate was given a lethal injection and died horrifically in front of shocked witnesses. Joseph Wood gasped for 2 HOURS before he died.

In 2010 the DOC was caught using illegally imported drugs. In 2015 they tried the same thing and got caught again. So far the state has refused to disclose where it got the $1.5 million it used to buy new lethal injection drugs or say where they came from.

There are 3 women on death row in Perryville now, that’s why we care.
